Below we present information regarding the doctoral programs offered by the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence.
The EUI is a renowned international university offering four-year doctoral studies in the fields of Social and Political Sciences, Law, Economics, and History. Each year, Poland is allocated 10 places for new doctoral researchers. Successful applicants receive a scholarship for the entire duration of the program (current rate: €1,620 per month), while the studies themselves at the EUI are tuition-free. Scholarship recipients are also covered by medical insurance and can benefit from additional allowances for family members (spouse/partner, child).
The recruitment process has just begun, and the deadline for submitting applications for doctoral studies is January 15, 2026 (for the academic year starting in 2026/2027).
The EUI has scheduled special online information sessions for potential candidates from Poland during the recruitment period. More details about these events (including dates) can be found on the EUI website (https://www.eui.eu/events) and on the social media profile of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
